Behold the Soviet Union. Not modern day Russia with its criminally rich Oligarchs, I'm talking good old-fashioned, spy-on-your-neighbor Soviet Union. Back in the USSR. I did a summer term in the USSR shortly before the nation collapsed. On a short visit to Moscow (pronounced MAS-COE not MAS-COW by the way) we roamed around Red Square to see the sights, such as they were at the time. We walked by the tomb of Lenin, but decided it would not be worth the time to wait in the longest line in the country to see the Comrade in his taxidermic state. Shortly after passing his mausoleum, we saw this ZIL limousine pulling out of the gates of the Kremlin. We couldn't see who was in it, but at that point in history, it was likely someone of significant import.

Do you have a rating guideline to use so I cover all the proper aspects. If you have one.

There is a review format guys use. I guess you could search for "Review" or something. It's the same as they do on Jalopnik.

That is so cool! I know I for one would be interested in hearing more about your summer term in the USSR. You were there during very interesting time. I'm planning on going next summer, but I'm sure the experience will be worlds away.

It was interesting. We had to have a "handler" from Intourist the entire trip. She was always there. We could wander off on our own, but we were most definitely watched. There was little to no Western items to buy. The restaurants were all government owned for the most part and not that good. We did have fun and got a lot out of the trip. Plus, it was a great opportunity to improve my Russian. Russian are great people and they were back then too. It was the opportunity of a lifetime.
